One of my 1st grade art students came into my classroom at the end of the day on Friday. He carried this sunflower and had a bug huge smile on his face. When he handed me the flower he said: Happy Teacher Apreesh-you-way-shun! How can that NOT be a simple joy?
Today was my baby's birthday. She turned 10 and had quite the birthday. Mags gave her a microscope and Abby cracked it open as soon as we got home. VERY exciting. Good call Mags! She loves it.
Peaches greets us every afternoon. She always has a toy in her mouth to show off. She's VERY proud!
My kids are awesome. I often complain about how they drive me nuts, but man I love em. They are good sports too! They will pose for me just about any way I ask them to. I am blessed.
The joy isn't the subject of the photo, although he is kinda fun. The joy is the new macro lens I bought. I'm just learning how to work the thing, but I am having fun using it!
Took the kids to the Springs Preserves. It was a beautiful day for it! We saw lots of cool things. I got to take pictures of the plant-life. Here is a photo of one of the many species of flowers at the preserves. We also decided we needed to become members, so we can go back any time!
The moon was AWESOME last night! I raced home so I could break out the camera start taking pictures. Now if I can just get that new camera, the quality would be amazing!
I just purchased a new macro lens and was trying to take pictures of the flowers outside my house. While taking pictures a few bees began enjoying the flowers too. This particular bee dove into the flowers in front of me. While it isn't the clearest shot (still learning the new lens), I love the bee butt.
Took the kids to the park today. They love to feed the ducks and geese. I love to watch the birds just do their thing. Here we have a duck trying desperately to reach a piece of bread that sunk to the bottom of the "pond."
My family loves music. It has always been a part of my life. That love has been passed down to my children as well. Here Abby sits at Nolan's baseball game and practices what she has learned.

Chess. My mom taught Abby how to play today. When she was done, Nolan tells Abby he already knows how to play. And you know what? He did! I never learned how to play but I'm impressed that my kids understand the strategy of the game.
Baseball!! I love to watch kids playing baseball. It's my favorite sport to watch. Nolan has been playing for a few years now and we are seeing improvement every year. He loves it!
Storm clouds in Vegas are rare. When we get them, I find myself looking at the sky and wanting to take pictures. This one I took from my back porch.

Chelsea is our pound puppy. We weren't even sure we were going to keep her because she had some biting issues. But we worked through them and I love her. Here she not so subtly lets us know she'd like to have some dinner.
